About the City Treasurer

The City Treasurer is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the City of Ulysses and ensuring the accurate handling of public funds. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the City’s fiscal integrity, transparency, and compliance with all applicable laws and accounting standards.

The City Treasurer manages financial transactions including utility revenue, payroll processing, and financial reporting. The position works closely with the City Clerk, City Administrator, and governing body to support budgeting, auditing, and long-term financial planning. The Treasurer also ensures that City funds are properly recorded, safeguarded, and disbursed in accordance with adopted policies and approved expenditures.
