When is my utility bill due?
Depending on which bill cycle you are on, the following information explains when bills are due:
Read Date: 15th
Billing Date: 25th
Due Date: 10th
Shut Off Date: 20th at 8am
OR
Read Date: 1st
Billing Date: 10th
Due Date: 25th
Shut Off Date: 5th at 8am

What do I need a building permit for?
Building permits are needed when performing any new construction. This includes: Building, Mechanical, Electrical, Signs, Roofing and Plumbing. If you are unsure if your construction or work will need a permit, please check with the Inspections Department at City Hall. 620-356-4400
Drawings of new construction must be approved by the Building Official. Permits must also be obtained prior to starting any construction. Click here for a printable drawing form.
Who do I contact for a water emergency after hours?
Can I turn my water meter off and on by myself?
No. To have your water meter turned off or on you will need to contact the City Shop during normal business hours. 620-356-1271 Water meters are the property of the City of Ulysses. Any damage caused as the result of a customer tampering with the meter will be billed to the customer for the cost to repair or replacement of meter.
When & where is Municipal Court held?
Municipal Court is located at City Hall, 115 W Grant Ave., Ulysses, KS 67880. 620-356-4600
Beginning February 1st, Municipal Court’s new starting time will begin at 4pm. Below are the 2021 court dates.
